Most all of my jobs required standing on concrete or hard floors for 8-10 hrs a day. We were never allowed to wear comfortable shoes unless we had a written note from a foot doctor, then it had to be renewed every 6 months. Over the 20+ years, my condition worsened with every step taken, even while wearing orthotics. I spent at least $1,000 a month on therapies, injections, massage, anything that should have helped or cured it. My insurance did not cover any of it plus I had a $35 specialist doctor copay. To this day I'm still in pain. My last resort is surgery, and I haven't committed to that yet and probably never will. Bottom line I can't afford it anymore, PERIOD.
