I worked for years on various uneven surfaces, had pain in my heel and arch since 2013, started in left foot and then both feet. Tried exercise, Physical therapy, dry needling, wore a night splint, had my feet taped, inserts in my shoes, ultrasound, finally orthodics which took about month and a half to get used to. I still have some issues due to calcification of tissue in my arch and arthritis but at least I can walk in the morning without support. It has been a long road but I would never opt for surgery.
