I started experiencing plantar fasciitis over a year ago. I have went through therapy, had cortizone injections and have done many of the exercises prescribed. I also wore some orthodic inserts that the Podiatrist recommended I purchase from his office. No relief after all of this. About 6 months later, Podiatrist recommended plantar fasciitis release surgery. Had the surgery and went through therapy and still no relief. Now after a year, I decided to get a second opinion from an Orthopedic doctor because now I have pain( sharp pain and pain from the arch of my foot to my big toe. Also still have the pain in the heel. His words were, "That surgery does not work". After getting and MRI and an exam, the orthopedic doctor is concerned that now I have nerve damage from the surgery. Now just waiting for appointment with Neurologist.
