4 years ago we went away and while walking barefoot in the sand my left foot started to really hurt. I've walked barefoot at the beach my entire life.
After I returned home I had to look up what was causing my pain, I didn't know what plantar fasciitous was. I bought inserts for my shoes and also bought sandals for PF. The pain wasn't subsiding so I called an orthopedic. In the meantime a pharmacist who also suffered from PF suggested to take 400mg of magnesium daily. By the time my doctors appt came my pain was gone! And if I run put of magnesium within 3 or 4 days the pain starts to return.
I still wear my inserts and buy orthoheel sandals for summer. But I am able to cheat now and then and wear a pair of flats.
