I had heard about this condition, but never imagined I would have it. I am not a runner, but I do love to walk and I have a tread climber. I am retired a year and a half now. I know I have gained weight, too many outings breakfast, lunch, dinner and Starbucks. I realize since my injury I have to eat less and exercise more. I do not want to get worse and I certainly do not want shots or surgery. The stretching, ice and proper footwear work well for me. In the beginning I did take Aleve for pain. I have started dieting, also. My doctor did give me ortho inner soles for my shoes and it is taking a lot of research to find just the right and proper footwear, but it is worth it.
