My job requires me to be on my feet continuously for at least 8 hrs. I work in a kitchen and am expected to do 2 shifts at once all the time. By the 2 nd hr I am limping and by the 4th hour I can barely move and have tears in my eyes. I just came back from vacation and even just sitting in the car my heel felt like a knife was being jammed into it repeatedly. I was crying. At times the pain is so bad, I forget to breath for a moment. And sitting down when I get home to elevate my foot doesn’t help. When I get up I can barely move. My limp can get pretty serene. I feel like I should be living in a nursing home not working in one!
