I developed Plantar Fasciitis after two long runs two days in a row. I tried stretching and icing with no luck. I ended up talking to quite a few people who had developed plantar fasciitis in the past. The concensus: they had to stop running/exercising for a long period of time. I ended up stopping running for six months which healed the condition. I have no issues now five years later. However, if I do feel even the slightest ache in my heel, I stay off of running for two to three days
