Its not good news for me. On July 2014 I woke up with pain in left foot which was diagnosed as Plantar Fasciitis. I had injections and wore a boot, was told to get orthotics (which I refused because I have had many and were unable to wear them).

So I wore the boot, with a very bad back which after 6 mos of this I was seeing a chiropractor for my bad back ! I tried all and everything out there (over the counter) and nothing worked. When it had been close to a year and I had done nothing but rest, stay a home, miss functions, could not walk, need crutches because of it not only being my foot but now my back. At this point I was house ridden. Unable to do anything my whole world had changed.... I was never a runner but did do my walking 3-4 times a week prior to this July. I had also had surgery on my lower back 3 yrs before this and now I didn't know what this was doing to my back by wearing that boot.

It was about March 2015, and I had enough so I did have the surgery to release the (Plantar ?) what ever its called. That seemed to have gone well and I was starting to heal when in again July 2015 I broke the second toe from the big toe on that same foot. It broke up where the toe bone meets the larger bone that crosses over the whole foot. Back to the boot I went !

All I did was step up on one step and it snapped, I new instantly something had broken. So one year later I was back in the boot with a broken foot, and unable to get around again. They said it would be about 3 mos for the break to heal. The last time I was in was Dec. 2015 and the foot had not healed yet ! Mean while I would say in Sept 2015 and of course on the same foot I hit my little toe on the corner of something and broke it.... Split it right down the middle, so now the foot is all swollen and black and blue and I have to wait for it to heal. It heal faster than the other, or it is still healing ?

When I was in to the Dr. in Dec. I mentioned to him that I thought, I new that my right foot was getting Plantar Fasciitis it was hurting just the same as the other. Dr. could not give me injection because he said it would interfere with the healing of the breaks on the other foot. He suggested the orthotics again that was the way to go. So I had them made against all my bad experiences I have had this is what I needed to do. At first they made them wrong and had to be remade which took twice as long to get them. Now when I try to wear them my feet hurt worse.

So at the moment Feb. 16th 2016 I have two swollen feet that hurt like heck, I have no shoes that I can wear so they don't hurt. The orthotics are not working, I walk with a cane, have been trying some water therapy on both feet which I'm not sure of yet. Half of my life is spent laying around with my feet propped up because they hurt so much and the other 1/2 is just hobbling around in severe pain. This is no life and I don't know why or if this is normal ? I'm going to the Dr. today for x-rays of both feet this time and hopefully get some answers. If anyone has suggestions or help for me please let me know.

Jackie
