Treatment Ratings
I had two episodes of plantar fasciitis: 1999 and 2007. Orthotics "cured" problem within 4-6 weeks of wearing them faithfully. Approx. 6 months ago, terrible heel pain started again. After one injection, a boot, exercises, and new orthotics, the pain has moved up in ankle. I hurt so badly that I limp a lot now. I tried a new podiatrist yesterday and had 3 injections in ankle area and heel. X-Ray showed evidence of some plantar fasciitis, an old heel spur," and arthritis in ankle! Hoping the injections & rest will help! Doctor discouraged surgery for now.
