I played tennis for the past three years. My feet started hurting in the mornings. Then we were on vacation and I wore flip flops for a week everyday all day and did a lot of walking. This is when the pain got so bad I could not stand for any period of time. I went to the Dr., who gave me a cortisone shot and said come back in 6 weeks. That did not help. I also realized that my hamstrings and calves were also very tight and hurt. I went back to my Dr after only 3 weeks in worse pain. I did not want another cortisone, so he sent me to Physical Therapy. They first started with exercises. Then dry needling on the hamstrings, calves and feet. We also realized. It was all the way into my pelvic floor all the muscles. I had dry needling everywhere. It only helped for a few days and it would tighten up again. After 5 mths of this and every sock, night, icing, rolling a ball under my feet, splint etc, I started reading about what else I could try. I went to YouTube and found how to tape my feet for Plantar Faciitist with KT tape found at Walmart in the sporting goods section. I also purchased VIONIC Orthoheel slip on that I wear as soon as I get out of bed and Orthoheel tennis shoes. I also bought the Orthoheel inserts for my other shoes. I still stretch the hamstrings, calves and adductor muscles in both feet. I have started playing tennis again once a week. The taping keeps the bottom of my feet stretched and I also tape my arches. I have had no pain after playing and the next day as long as the KT tape is still on my feet. Once I remove the tape and walk barefoot from my bedroom to bathroom I feel some slight pain. I have to wear the Orthoheel slip on everywhere in the house. I am so happy with this method. I would say I am 90% cured while I follow this process
