Decades ago ankle injury...recent year unilateral plantar fasciitis now believed to be partly the result of lax ankle tendons due to prior injury.

I have had repeated cortisone injections over the past year and a half. It quiets down to a dormant state, until...it doesn't. Then I have another injection. This last episode was exquisite heel pain and required 3 injection sites and a two week rest, but it has again gone into "remission" for now. I don't consider it cured --- rather, it is chronic.
