It took approximately 3 years and the combination of all treatments checked to get 85% better.

The cause is unknown. At the time of onset, I was a restaurant manager and runner. I always had tight calves, I really wish I had stretched more and wore better shoes-I did not take care of myself or listen to my body. The signs were there.

I still wear supportive shoes and on occasion orthotics. My night splint is worn rarely. Also, I stretch before placing my foot on the floor (directly into arch support flip flop) in the morning.

In my opinion, stretching is the most helpful of all my treatments. I seldom run now but can do 3-4 miles without pain.
