Orthotics, Ice, Cortisone Injection, Night splint, Supportive Shoes, Stretching

Came on very suddenly. Lots of pain. 4 cortisone injections given in one year. Ice and rest. Then I wore a night splint for 2 months to stretch my foot. I rolled my foot on a soup can and on frozen water bottles. I stretched my foot before getting out of bed and did other stretching excercises during the day. I got orthotic inserts for my shoes and never ever go barefoot any more. Best shoe to wear Vionic Orthaheals. Expensive but you can feel then stretch out the plantar fasciitis tendon when you put them on. After a year of dealing with pain, I have been pain free for 7 years. I recommend the daily stretching before you get out of bed, the orthotic foot inserts, and shoes made by Vionic Orthaheals and never ever go BAREFOOT!
