I had PF for about 4 months, just cured totally about a month ago. I tried all the above plus rolling my foot on a tennis ball, which I believe is finally what cured it. I had to get serious and be persistent though, and rolled my foot on the ball for about 3-4 minutes at least 3 times a day. Of course, I did the stretching where you have the ball of your foot on a stair step and let it hang down, not sure if that helped or not, but it felt good. My doctor also said I should take magnesium, fish oil, and a B vitamin, all of which I did, so that could've helped as well. I could tell when it was starting to go away because every day it hurt less and the site of pain moved from the center of my heel to the outside of my heel very gradually and finally went away. I'd guess from the time I knew it was going away until the time it was completely gone was about 2 weeks or so, maybe few days less. Anyway, I hope never have it again! It was awful.
