My heel started hurting about 6 months ago. I work out 5-6 days a week and part of the workout is dedicated to the treadmill. I use "walk-fit" inserts in my shoes and they definately help. I started seeing a sport massage therapist and she recommended ice, rolling out on a golf ball, stretching, and massage. She said it's due to tight calf muscles. She also suggested I see an orthopedist. I haven't done that. Oddly enough it doesn't hurt while I'm running. Just all of the other time!
