I've had planters fasciitis on and off since 1992. I've had the most luck with supportive shoes. I had no pain after finding a great pair of shoes. I had no pain about 6 months after that as long as I always wore these shoes and I never went barefoot. My feet were so great I was even hiking for and hour everyday. I lost lots of weight. Then I did something dumb. I thought I was totally cured and I was walking barefoot on our concrete deck on a regular basis. I then had a major flare up and couldn't even put weight on my foot. I've had cortisone injections, ultrasound,PT,used a night splint, stretched, tried orthotics. They stopped making my great supportive shoes so I'm still having pain a year later.
