I'd worked in warehouses, stood on concrete, for close to thirty five years . I'm a sixty three year old woman now .3 years ago when it happened I had worked a ten hour day and was walking to the time clock and I could almost feel the muscle in my left foot tear I could barely make it to my car . Went to the foot dr. The next day he prescribed anti inflammatory and ice .the next day I couldn't stand the pain and I got a cortisone shot which seemed to help. But now a couple years later I wish I wouldn't have because it still flares up occasionally ,and the injection site is where it hurts . I missed about 2 weeks of work ,during this time what helped me were the tips and stretches, ice ing ,taping, p.t,and finally Acsis shoes were the best supporting shoe I found . But this was a very debillatateing problem the worst thing was my left foot was just getting better and then my right foot went so I worked and iced both feet at night eventually they both started to feel ok but will still occasionally flare up. I wear shoes to walk to the bathroom at nite try not to be bare foot for to long and wish I would have paid more attention to my feet when I was younger by wearing better shoes and maybe replacing them sooner .
