As a teacher and on my feet all the time, I have delt with plantar fasciitis f or 15 years. I Have been to the chiropractor, physical therapist and podiatrist. Cortisone shots did not help. Physical therapy help somewhat but the most helpful was wearing a boot or splint to bed each night and wearing Orthaheel shoes or the Orthaheel orthotic inserts. They are wonderful. The high arch is a must. They are hard to get used to but you'll be glad you did.
