Physical therapy was key. Consisted of stretching, massage, exercise, ultrasound and iontophoresis with dexamethasone. About two months, twice a week. Almost 100% pain free. I know that the key to preventing a future flair up is to continue stretching and exercises that help keep my muscles relaxed. And most importantly..... Good shoes and sneakers with proper orthotic inserts!
