I've been a runner for almost ten years. In April and the first part of May I started experiencing heel pain after a good run. I would get my shoes off, rest my feet the for the rest of the day and also the next day, and the pain was gone. However, every time I would go out for another run, I'd experience the same problem. My feet hurt and that all I knew and I chalked it up to bad shoes. I went to a wedding the first weekend in June 2016 in Las Vegas. It was hot that weekend and I was in flip flops other whole time. By the end of the weekend my right her was in so much pain I could hardly walk. I went to see a podiatrist in July. He suggested I cut back on my running to only a 30 minute run, no uphill running, and gave me a cortisone injection in my right heel. I also purchased expensive inserts from him and he asked to see me in another months. Needless to say, none of this has helped. I haven't been running in 2 months. The mental part of this is what's going to kill me.
