I walked on hardwood floors for approximately one week when staying at my sister's home. A few days later, the plantar episode had me on crutches. I could not walk. I tried to self-cure by resting, rolling my foot on a tennis ball, and ice therapy. I finally went to a podiatrist who wrapped my foot, gave me a cortisone shop, and said I qualified for orthotics and shoes - which would be paid by Medicare. I had several ultrasounds, foot wrappings, and three cortisone shots. I have worn the shoes an orthotics for approximately two weeks. My foot feels better when I am working, but after approx 3 hours, the pain is back. I am diabetic with my blood sugar under fair control.
