I had plantar fasciitis pain and both heels had 2 bone spurs each. I went to podiatrist for a couple of years. He taught me exercises, gave me cortisone shots in both heels two times, bound my arches, made me orthotics for my feet, had me wearing night time braces and I still had heel pain all the time. Some of these things would give me relief for a couple of months, but pain would come back. Then he insisted I buy a pair of Orthaheel (later changed name to Vionic) sandals from a catalogue he had. I got them and started wearing them. It took a couple of weeks to get used to the foot bed, but I did. I got the Tide II in black. (This particular design tends to run a size big, so I got an 8...I usually wear an 8 1/2 or a 9.). Well within a few weeks my feet felt so much better. I wore them all summer and am so glad I did. That was about 5 years ago and I haven't had any pain in my feet for ages! I've bought one or two new styles each year. They are a little pricey for me, but so worth it. They tend to run $60ish and up, but they last really well. I still wear the original pair of black Vionic thong sandals that Dr Goodman suggested I buy. I swear by these sandals. They really will help your heel and arch pain!! Vionic sandals!! I hope this helps.
