I try to follow the podiatrist's instructions but have a difficult time completing all the daily stretching exercises (4 different types, repeat 4 times a day with 40 reps 4 times each session), which is my own fault. The icing helps a lot especially using frozen water in a water bottle for each foot. Rest helps but stretching is the best. I wear Saucony shoes with green Super Feet inserts sold by Dicks Sports Goods store, recommended by the doctor. I have not had a cortisone shot because I am not brave. I will continue to try to increase my stretching routine and use a nightly flex shoe. I also use a "Tens" machine and believe that helps.
