Started having problems around age 50. Went to bone dr. And he sent me to physical therapists to get fitted for inserts for shoes. This worked great for a few years and wore them all the time. Then it got to were my left foot was hurting so bad all the time even when resting food. Stopped wearing the inserts and went to a foot dr were he stated it was scar tissue pressing on a nurse. I have had 2 steroid shots for this about 6 weeks apart. Would seem to help for few days but then come back. I was walking about a month ago and it felt life a rubber band snapped in my foot. Extreme pain and much trouble walking. Bought acis gel fit nimbus 17 also compression socks and wear a wrap around foot. Went to dr. Also and he stated had a tear in plantar fasciitis. Gave me a steroid shot at the worse place were my foot hurt at which was at inside of heel area. The acis shoe and compression socks are the only way I can walk and get through the day. I did all take over the counter medicine for the pain and still take aspirin at night. Dr. Stated when my body heals the tear it should make the plantar fasciitis longer and should feel better. All I know it is very flusterating. Have give up my walking I use to do in morning before work but still have to walk during the day. I try to rest my foot when I get home from work. So for now I am just waiting and praying it will heal and be ok and thank God my right foot is not hurting.
