I have scolioses, was told when I was in high school, and I knew a kid that needed to wear a brace for her back and I didn't want that for me. So I do yoga at least 2 times a week, my first session was 37 years ago. I believe that chiropractic helps, Alexander Technique helped me to correct bad habits that I never noticed, so I have good posture, but my head tilts slightly right. I don't consume dairy and don't have any aches and pains. I'm very healthy and active. I social dance many hours a week, and apparently a lot of other male dancers get plantar fasciitis, which makes me feel more pain from just pointing my toe, or pushing the gas pedal while during the car. The doctor said my arch had fallen, and he gave me pain meds that upset my stomach, and ordered orthotics for my shoes, they may have made things worse because I felt more pain while dancing as my foot hit against the hard orthotic in my shoes. I tried many different things. It has been a struggle for several years. I think the boot, or night splint, was helpful with sleeping. But I am now excited that a simple but painful stretch, just sitting on my knees and toes, is really helping to solve the source of the problem.
