I was diagnosed at 12, but my symptoms did not become debilitating until after a fall that required chiropractic work to my tailbone which was about 3 years ago. I am managing, with my good days still exceeding my bad, so not a candidate for surgery at this time. If/when my symptoms get unbearable, I will travel to ensure I see a true specialist.
