Well, at first there were many misdiagnoses' carpal tunnel, hip bursitis, chronic back pain, insomnia... then she said fibromyalgia and things began to change. She put me on the "right" meds. However, I didn't like the side effects so I researched, presented her with my research and we began the process of weaning off the prescriptions and beginning with a supplement protocol consisting of Magnesium (and its co-factors) along with MSM. The only prescription I have had no success in weaning off was my sleeping pills. I can't control when I'm sleepy enough to fall asleep on my own. So I take sleeping pills the night before I have to be at work or an appt. However, I do not have pain (or even flares) as long as I supplement daily on a scheduled basis. When I skip doses on top of not managing my stress well in one day then I begin to feel a flare. If I don't handle that well I have to take a pain pill to get over it. I hate prescription medications, so I try not to let that happen.
