Gabapentin has allowed me to get some sleep at night. Marijuana lessens the pain to tolerable levels, but has to be reused often. Nothing else that I have tried has really done a whole lot to relieve the pain. If I can get the pain level down enough to get at least 7 straight hours of sleep at night, I am able to normally have a decent 3 to 4 hours of functioning in the early part of the day before the pain takes over. Throughout the day taking Ibuprofen helps some, but also is causing stomach issues.
