I've dealt with herniated discs since my 20's, I finally has spinal fusion on my L5 S1which made my condition worse. In addition I developed a neuropathic pain in my leg that I never had before. I have a spinal cord implant which helps my leg but not my back. Currently receiving my second round (of 3 injections) which are of no help. They want to replace my spinal cord stimulator because it's new and the old one is 10 years old.
