In 1998 I fell and hit the small of my back on the corner of a desk. It was downhill from there. Had I had proper care (had Kaiser at that time), I probably wouldn't be this bad. I have had over 20 epidurals. In 2006 I had a bilateral decompression to repair my 3 ruptured disks and in 2009 I had a spinal fusion to repair the bone on bone problem at L-5-S-1. 2 months later, the fusion re-ruptured the decompression fix from 2006. I have tried everything and nothing has worked long term. Now I can't work and have been forced to go on disability which is heartbreaking. Now I can hardly walk and am killing myself with these heavy meds (oxycodone and OxyContin).
