I have a collapsed disc, torn disc and bulging disc through lifting unconscious patients in my job as a Critical Care Nurse. Workmans Comp consistently refused to allow a spinal fusion despite 3 surgeons, physiotherapists and pain dr's saying I needed it. They delayed treatment long enough that my Workmans comp and disability money have run out so I need to return to nursing but without my surgery. I've put on 60lbs in weight because for 3 years I could only walk a one block distance - now I'm up to 4 blocks before I need painkillers. Thank you State of California for treating your healthcare providers so crappy.
