My spinal cord was pinched and my neurosurgeon, after assuring that I had exhausted all options of treatment, performed the spinal surgery at Piedmont. The surgery was performed by going through my side in order not to disturb the nerves and muscles in my back. It was a laproscopic surgery. I only stayed in the hospital overnight and was released the next day. I wore a full back brace for 3 months, which was not that uncomfortable. When I tried it on before surgery to make sure it was the correct size, it felt wonderful. Can't praise this Dr. enough. Glad I had the surgery, just wish I was able to have had it dooner.
