Sadly I was misdiagnosed for decades and called a fat lazy crazy drug seeker by drs, even with a history of back issues since childhood. Had injections as teen. Had paralysis and discectomy at 30. Then almost 20 years of patient neglect by dozens of doctors (with lots of mental abise thrown in) until a spinal collapse in my neck caused spinal cord injury. These spinal stenosis sites annoy me because they never mention congenital spinal stenosis and how it differs drastically from spinal stenosis. I have had multiple spine surgeries. One to prevent paraplegia (age 30) one to repair spinal cord and prevent quadriplegia, and one because of mssa infection that nearly killed me after laminectomy to remove spinous process in lumbar because spinal cord impinged (3 major spine surgeries 2014 and picc line 6 weeks) My current drs say this is worst case of medical neglect they have seen. I only have surgery to prevent paralysis and death. Need more surgery soon. Losing weight, p.t, chiropractic, injections, all bullshit for someone with severe congenital spinal stenosis. It's surgery or death. I wish I could post pictures here because the collapsed vertebra with no diask and giant hole in spine where l4-5 basically is gone. Looking at more surgery to keep walking, but now with MSSA my Dr told me he is afraid I won't survive.
