Ongoing issues with back problems for years but didn't seek medical care. Then 3 months ago got out of bed and was unable to walk. Discovered that if I was leaning forward AND holding on to something, I could walk. Got a walker and called ortho doctors. After xrays and mri, diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Tried epidural injections and got some relief briefly. Was able to walk without walker but only briefly. I can walk holding on to a shopping cart but only a few minutes without the shopping cart. Can't stand for more than a few minutes without having to sit down. Tried Physical therapy and was in bed all day the next day. Tried massage therapy - very relaxing and stress reducing but did not help my back. A couple of times, I've felt something move and my knees buckled. That scares me. Scheduled appointment with a neurosurgeon for evaluation. Seeing him tomorrow.
