Burning pain in lower back after standing for 10 minutes, sometimes less. Burning and throbbing pain down the left hip, all the way to foot. burns in front of calf also. both feet are numb and drive me crazy at night. I sometime am woke up 2 or more times a night with severe leg cramps. Just had my 3rd. epidural of pain medicine and cortisone in my back and left side. They have only helped for a few days at best. I am 82 years old and my Dr. says I am not ready for surgery. Its hard to get the exercise I need because of all the pain. I have gained most of my weight in the last 2 years due to inactivity. Any suggestions that have helped someone with my problems, would be appreciated. I recently lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks doing the Atkins Diet.. I am sticking with it in hopes that losing weight will eliminate some of my pain. Jean
