My lower back pain started about 20 years ago. At that time it was significant preventing me from walking more than a few steps before needing to stop and stretch my back. after about 6 months it eventually went away. Since then I have had similar but much shorter episodes maybe a couple of times a year. I have always been able to relieve any pain by stretching, like childs pose. The current issue I am experiencing has been going on for a few months. Stretching relieves any pain but it comes back quickly if I am on my feet. I am familiar with the Gokhale method but so far have not been a very good practitioner.
