My spine has degenerative disc disease. Had been working hard my whole life riding horses, farm work, etc.. I don't believe my weight has a real bearing on the spinal pain. Although, I know that it does help to have less weight. I had fusions that REPAIRED what was going wrong, but the PAIN remained. To this day, I have pinched nerves in L-4 and L-5 and verrrrrry painful. I cannot walk more then a few yards, etc...and mostly spend my days in a prone position. I do walk with my walker..that seems to help somewhat...but after I HURT really bad.
