I've suffered with this for many years. Had lumbar surgery with rod and screws years ago. Didn't really alleviate the pain much, expected better. Fusion in neck. Fell 2 yrs ago and had an MRI that showed more stenosis from cervical area throughout lumbar region as well as bulges and protrusions. Pain in my neck area causes debilitating headaches. Pain pills don't take away pain but makes it a little easier to bear. I use a heating pad every day and night and even have permanent marks from the coils on various parts of my body. Nobody can possibly know what living this way is like until you live it. It's exhausting, discouraging and many times you feel like you're a burden to others or go without things you need because you don't want to bother people by asking for help.
