    Spinal Fusion Surgery

Spinal fusion at L5 in 2000 for missing vertebra. Severe scoliosis. Can only walk for about 10 to 15 minutes and causes muscle spasms on lower right side of back and hip. Right leg goes numb sometimes. Stand for 5 minutes before painful spasms start. Used to be very active. Running, rollerblading, lifting weights, etc. Now I walk or ride a bike for exercise and lift light weights. Most comfortable sitting with legs up off floor. 2 screws have migrated into my spinal canal and a neurosurgeon recently advised me I need surgery to have them removed but I refused because last surgery it took 4 days to get my pain under control. I was a charlie horse from the waist down for months.
