Dull ache began April 2015. Sciatic began and intensely became worse. Tried everything including 3 rounds oral steroids. Injections helped but lasted a month. Returned worse. Treated with a Radiofrequency 6 lumbar nerves. Sciatic totally stopped. Dull bone pain still consistant. Began daily Tramadol, switched up to Hydrocodone. Really helped but afternoons were tough feeling sleepy at work. In addition to the above symptoms, my spine had been born short and included 2 synovial cysts. Worst was 7mm into my canal. Sceduled and had surgery 1 week ago. No pain, a little stiff, incisions x 3 healing great. Had minimally invasive MIS lift with L4-L5 fusion. Asked Doc about the cysts. Said it turned out to be the size of a ping pong ball and was sitting on my nerve. Sooner than later is best for surgery to prevent perment nerve damage. So far, I'm good!
