My scoliosis is obviously chronic, like many people I was told at age 18 that it would not worsen. By my 50's the curve had doubled and I began experiencing chronic back pain. I was using yoga and night-time postural care (supported positioning) together with the Gokhale Method from a book. It helped but the real breakthrough was going to a Gokhale Foundations course. It was life changing and the following week was the first time I could say that I had some pain free days. It has just gotten better over time. I have learned healthy ways to modify yoga poses so that I can continue rather than quitting because of back pain. The Gokhale Method has been great for me.
