Ice, prescription pain pills, muscle relaxant, back belt, rest, lying on other side of leg that is affected with knees up, herniated disc. Started 8 months ago, woke up with horrendous pain in front on left leg and back leg, hip and down to toes...could not walk, cold not sleep. Herniated disc and saw Spine Dr. he recommended surgery, Insurance co. denied surgery. Still waiting on the process to override this issue. I have pain in mid back to left leg majority of the time, different degrees of pain, pinching, sharp dagger feeling in mid to lower spine, left leg drags, cannot lift toes up on left foot, no strength in leg at times...pain radiates from mid back to lower foot. Pain pills stave it off for awhile, nothing seems to help. I sleep a lot due to the medications I'm on. I am so tired of not being able to walk as much as I used to before all of this. Pain is daily, wakes me up at night....take more pills. I cannot live on pills. I need surgery. I recently had x-rays and hopefully this will help my insurance company approve the surgery. I haven't heard from Dr. yet, I'll see if the issue has worsened. Maybe this will convince Insurance co. to approve my surgery. I'm not that old and I need a life again. Instead of being in pain and it taking over my life. I don't go anywhere very often. I'm always at home. Usually sleeping due to medications. Only time I don't feel pain.
