History of DDD for 10 years, but able to work/function. Initial injury 12/13, moving a hospital bed (unoccupied ) when wheels jammed. Caused muscle strain which increased pain from DDD. Went through several months PT, until an overzealous day caused worsening of symptoms and pain. Now, Mainly do isometric core exercises, resistance exercises for shoulders/upper back, and stationary bike. Have had to retire from nursing, daily take muscle relaxers and NSAIDS, and several days, narcotic pain meds.
