Originally injured back when a patient failed to stand up fully and compressed spine. No ct scan or MRI done at that time. Therapy brought me most of the way back after a few months. Then woke up with a stiff back and by night could not get myself out of bed. In hindsight the incontinece I thought was from older age and chronic holding it was from the back. Was given steroids oral. Cured incontinece, helped pain go down to a 3-4. When therapy was started pain went up to between a 5-8. After weeks of therapy started a series of three steroid injections. Waited three weeks in between therapy and starting injections. Back pain went down to a 3-4 upon stopping therapy. The injections did nothing. Went for surgical consult and was told it was not bad enough for surgery but no more lifting over 10 lbs. not realistically can I do that. So someday soon I have more pain than others. I have a hard time doing any cleaning that requires bending over anymore.
