Suffered with back pain for many years from my 40's. Had total hip at age 72 and pain and reliance on pain mess mm relaxers and ect. Went away . Broke both bones in my ankle last year and since started having thigh pain but hip x Rays were good so it is from my back and physical work. Standing doing dishes for a long time like post Thanksgiving or vacuuming make it worse. Have started doing Yoga regularly but when I hurt I get up and stretch and that relieves it better than anything.
Before I had my hip done I went to have it done but hip Dr said my back was too bad I better have it done first but my Neuro said my Osteo was too bad he didn't dare touch it. So I kept up with a pain specialist but was still in a lot of pain and dependent on pain meds but one night my hip was hurting so bad my daughter had to take me to the emergency room and they took 10 cc of fluid from my hip and told me I had no choice but to have my hip done. So I did and after it healed I had no back pain.
