Back pain increasing starting at age 50. (I am now 80). Been through usual treatments, meds, PT etc. Radio Freqency Ablation 1 1/2 years ago right side is still effective Fell and injured left side 6 months ago resulting in painful sciatica. Had usual meds and steroid injections with no improvement. Six weeks ago had Left Epidural Steroid Injection with no improvement. Tomorrow I have an appointment with a Neurosurgeon. I want his opinion but very hesitant about surgery at my age!
