after running half marathon 12 years ago, started to have pain in my right side sciatic area, over time became chronic. Took anti inflammatory and saw chiropractic/ acupuncture for years. Just recently my chiropractor sent me in for MRI and then to a pain specialist, he recommended a spinal injection of steroid cortisone and PT. I have had 2 injections and going for number 3. Dr. says that it can take a while to get the inflammation down so it stops pressing on the nerve. It has improved each time but still bothers me if I stand or sit to long.
