I suffered from lower back pain for 16 years. I was tired of trying various remedial measures from medication, yoga, accupressure, meditation, yoga, heat therapy, Ultrasound, massage and ayurveda. While I got brief relief from some of these from time to time, my overall condition only got worse with severe spasms, reduced movement, sciatic pain and lack of sleep. In 2012 I discovered about the Gokhale Method through a TED talk, when I ordered the book 8 Steps to a Pain Free Back, I was convinced that this was the route that would help me. The idea in that book made inherent sense, I saw people around me who were with that kind of "primal posture" and carried around with no pain. I took the 6 lessons course called the Gokhale Method Foundations course, which was transformative. The first lesson itself felt relaxed and for the first time I slept for 8 hours without pain that night. Within 6 months of incorporating the techniques of good posture I was pain-free, and continue to be so!
