Mine is stress and I have been dealing with lower back pain for 36 years. I have tried just aabout everything and now at 80 years old I think I am going to have to live with it. It just gets worth over the years. Some things have worked especially stretching exercises morning and night. Now I am finding I have to tone them down some because of the worsening if my back. I have had to stop taking statins as they caused muscle pain in my legs and I was unable to walk far at all. That has helped. Pool exercises do help as they are low impact. The stretching exercises helped as much as anything over the years and has kept me walking. I am now considering something they call RF which deadens the nerves to stop the pain from going to the brain. At times I really want to do it then I think maybe it is better. I don't know why now except I am hoping but when I look at it realistically I don't believe it is.
