    Almost Cured
    Physical Therapy, Yoga

Herniated two disks in a twisting fall while snowboarding. Chiropractor helped eased some pain but wasn't getting to root of it. Saw two physical therapists, the second did a better job elongating my spine. Healing yoga also helped create conditions conducive to healing. But it was putting into practice the stretching, posture and movement techniques outlined in '8 Steps to a Pain Free Back', aka the Gokhale Method, that I finally found full recovery and have had ZERO pain or problems since. I believe it is the key to lowering my risk of future back issues, because when I'm stretching after running or cycling I now do it property and don't compress my lower back vertebrae the way I was previously. I recommend it to people BEFORE they experience back pain, and odds are improved they never will.
